This liner is woven from polyester mesh in our Classic weave, finished with bound trim along the top and bottom. Two panels wrap the interior rails, attaching with hook and loop strips to fit full-size cribs with slatted sides. The fabric stays taut against the wooden uprights without gathering.

Solid white finish

A solid white panel keeps the crib interior quiet and uniform. It matches painted wood, light natural finishes, and patterned nursery sheets across the room without competing for attention.

Tucking along the mattress

The lower edge drops below the top of the crib mattress. Pulling the fabric down before closing the fasteners keeps the mesh flat against the slats from corner to corner.

Finished fabric trim

Smooth binding runs along the top and bottom edges of both panels. The trim neatens the cut mesh, gives the hook and loop fasteners a firm base, and holds a straight line against the rails.

Washing and resetting

Machine wash both panels with the hook and loop tabs pressed closed. The polyester mesh dries quickly on a line or flat surface, ready to wrap back onto the crib frame.

Standards, and what the law covers

Tested to ASTM F1917

The panels are tested to the ASTM standard for infant bedding and related accessories.

Air permeability under ASTM D737

The mesh is measured by the textile industry method for how readily air passes through a fabric.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

  1. Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
  2. Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
  3. Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
  4. Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.
