Setting up the crib begins with weaving these mesh panels through the slats. The two pieces wrap along the interior perimeter, covering three sides or four depending on the crib build. Bound fabric edges keep the mesh flat and tidy against the wooden frame.

Choosing light pink

This solid light pink adds a gentle wash of color across the crib interior. It pairs easily with white or natural wood slats, keeping the finished crib bright when daylight fills the room.

Tucking the bottom trim

The bottom edge of the panel slides down between the slats and the mattress edge. It rests flat against the wood beneath the top of the mattress, keeping the mesh smooth and taut all the way around.

Weaving the Classic mesh

Our Classic mesh uses an open weave that lets light and air pass freely across the slats. The single-layer polyester fabric stays light, resisting sagging once pulled into position around the corners.

Fastening with wide straps

Wide hook and loop closures join the panels at the corners and along the rails. The straps wrap around the exterior slats, gripping firmly so the panels stay aligned after regular machine washing.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.

Is this a padded bumper?

No. It is a non-padded mesh panel. The Safe Sleep for Babies Act was signed in May 2022, and the ban on padded crib bumpers took effect that November. It reaches padded bumpers, vinyl guards and vertical slat covers. The definition CPSC wrote for it does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner.
