Inside the crib rails, this liner rests against the wooden slats to line the interior perimeter. We weave the Classic mesh panels to fit full-size cribs with two distinct lengths, allowing coverage across three sides or all four. The subtle Starlight pattern prints directly onto the polyester fabric, which washes in a household machine.

Weaving the Classic mesh

We construct our Classic weave from polyester yarn, creating an open grid that lets air move through the panel. It provides a lightweight cloth layer across the wooden slats while holding its shape through routine wash cycles.

Fastening the panels

Wide hook and loop closures join the panels around the corner posts and end slats. You wrap each strap around the rail, pressing the fastener down so the liner remains taut against the wooden frame.

Tucking along the mattress

The lower edge drops below the top surface of the crib mattress, resting flat against the base of the slats. Pushing the bottom hem down between the mattress and the wood keeps the panel upright.

Finishing the outer edges

Solid fabric binding runs along the top and bottom of both mesh panels. We stitch this trim over the cut edges to keep the seams neat, give the borders structure, and frame the Starlight print.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.

Is this a padded bumper?

No. It is a non-padded mesh panel. The Safe Sleep for Babies Act was signed in May 2022, and the ban on padded crib bumpers took effect that November. It reaches padded bumpers, vinyl guards and vertical slat covers. The definition CPSC wrote for it does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner.
