Across the room, the Safari Fun Girl print shows soft animal figures against pale mesh. We weave this panel in our Classic mesh, sized to fit full-size cribs with slatted sides. The two pieces wrap the interior slats and fasten flat against the wood.

Classic mesh weave

We weave this in our Classic polyester pattern, with an open structure that lets room light reach the crib mattress. It stays lightweight on the slats while keeping its shape along the rail.

Safari Fun Girl print

The print carries gentle safari shapes spaced across the fabric. Against natural wood or painted white cribs, the pattern reads clearly without overtaking the rest of the nursery decor.

Lower edge and mattress fit

The bottom trim tucks down between the mattress and the crib slats. Pulling the fabric taut keeps the lower edge seated beneath the mattress line, so the panels rest flat against the interior perimeter.

Washing and reassembly

The panels go into the washing machine when needed. Once dry, the hook and loop fasteners attach around the corner posts and end slats, pulling back into place without puckering the trim.

Standards, and what the law covers

Tested to ASTM F1917

The panels are tested to the ASTM standard for infant bedding and related accessories.

Air permeability under ASTM D737

The mesh is measured by the textile industry method for how readily air passes through a fabric.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

  1. Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
  2. Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
  3. Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
  4. Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.
