These mesh panels sit along the interior slats of a full-size crib, wrapping the perimeter with a long and a short panel. Hook and loop fastenings draw the fabric taut against the rail posts. The gray chevron pattern adds a quiet geometric line around the mattress.

Weaving the classic mesh

Our Classic mesh uses an open polyester weave. The cloth stays light and porous on the rails, letting daylight reach the crib interior while holding its shape across the spans between the vertical wood slats.

Printing the gray chevron

Gray chevron zigzags across the white ground in a clean zigzag band. The pattern reads clearly from across the room without dominating the wood finish of the frame, paired with solid fabric trim along both outer edges.

Tucking the lower edge

The long panel pulls around the three primary sides while the short panel finishes the front. You tuck the bottom fabric edge below the mattress line so the cloth lies flat against the wood uprights without bunching.

Washing the mesh panels

The panels go directly into the washing machine when needed. Close all hook and loop tabs before the cycle so the cloth stays smooth, then rehang the pieces along the rails and tighten the fasteners into place.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.

Is this a padded bumper?

No. It is a non-padded mesh panel. The Safe Sleep for Babies Act was signed in May 2022, and the ban on padded crib bumpers took effect that November. It reaches padded bumpers, vinyl guards and vertical slat covers. The definition CPSC wrote for it does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner.
