Deluxe mesh feels light in the hand, with a wide fishnet pattern set between bands of Shell Pink trim. We weave this polyester cloth with broad openings across the center and finish both long edges in solid fabric. It attaches directly to crib slats using hook and loop closures.

Deluxe fishnet weave

We weave this mesh with our most open pattern. The fishnet design creates wide gaps across the panel face, finished in solid Shell Pink along the upper and lower borders. It stays taut once pulled into position around the rails.

Covering three or four sides

The pack includes one long panel and one short panel. Wrap both around the slats to cover four sides, or use the long panel on its own along three sides of a standard crib.

Tucked along the mattress

Pull the fabric flat against the inside slats and wrap the ends around the corner posts. The lower trim tucks beneath the top edge of the mattress so the cloth sits flush with the base of the crib.

Machine washing

Machine wash the panels with the hook and loop strips closed flat to keep the fabric smooth. The mesh dries quickly on the line or rack and attaches back onto the slats without stretching out of shape.

Standards, and what the law covers

Tested to ASTM F1917

The panels are tested to the ASTM standard for infant bedding and related accessories.

Air permeability under ASTM D737

The mesh is measured by the textile industry method for how readily air passes through a fabric.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

  1. Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
  2. Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
  3. Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
  4. Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.
