Deluxe mesh has a distinctive textured hand, woven with wide openings that give the fabric spring and body. We finish this liner in Sand Beach, an understated warm pattern that softens the perimeter of the crib. Two panels cover either three sides or all four sides of full size slatted frames.

Deluxe weave structure

Our Deluxe weave is the most open of our three mesh fabrics. It holds its vertical shape against crib slats while letting air move across the crib. The yarn has enough body to stay upright between posts without sagging.

Fastening along the slats

Hook and loop closures tension the cloth around corner posts and crib slats. The wide bands grip firmly, while fabric trim along the bottom edge tucks beneath the top edge of the mattress to keep the liner flush.

Sand Beach colorway

Sand Beach reads as a soft, sandy neutral across the room. The quiet pattern blends with pale wood, white rails, or darker crib finishes, adding texture without overwhelming other nursery bedding.

Washing and reinstalling

The polyester panels go into the washing machine when needed. They dry quickly on the line or rack, ready to wrap back around the slats and re-fasten without losing their crisp finish or shape.

Standards, and what the law covers

Tested to ASTM F1917

The panels are tested to the ASTM standard for infant bedding and related accessories.

Air permeability under ASTM D737

The mesh is measured by the textile industry method for how readily air passes through a fabric.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

  1. Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
  2. Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
  3. Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
  4. Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.
