Gray cloth lines the slats in a neutral tone that matches painted wood or natural timber. We weave this pair of panels for full-size cribs, running the cloth around the interior perimeter without thick padding. The liner softens the interior perimeter while daylight reaches through the crib.

Two panel lengths

The set contains one long panel and one short panel. Use both to cover all four sides of a slatted crib, or run the long piece alone across three sides when the crib has a solid back.

AirflowBaby weave structure

We weave this liner in our AirflowBaby weave, the finest of our three mesh constructions. The polyester fabric remains open throughout the body, keeping air moving through the interior space while holding its shape across the slats.

Hook and loop closures

Fabric ties and wide hook and loop closures wrap around the corner posts and individual slats. The fasteners pull the mesh taut against the wood so the panels do not sag or bunch between the uprights.

Position along the mattress

The lower edge drops below the top of the mattress, resting flat against the wooden framework. Soft microfiber trim binds the top and bottom borders, keeping the raw edges neat and flat against the crib wall.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.

Is this a padded bumper?

No. It is a non-padded mesh panel. The Safe Sleep for Babies Act was signed in May 2022, and the ban on padded crib bumpers took effect that November. It reaches padded bumpers, vinyl guards and vertical slat covers. The definition CPSC wrote for it does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner.
