White is the cleanest finish in the catalog, matching painted crib rails without drawing the eye away from the room. We weave this long panel from our Classic mesh to fold over the top rail where teeth leave marks. It fastens along slatted sides or solid ends and goes straight into the washing machine.
The Classic mesh weave
Our Classic weave is an open polyester cloth made in a single layer. It wraps over the wood rail without adding bulk, letting daylight reach into the crib while covering the painted edges.
The trim along the edges
A smooth polyester trim binds the top and bottom edges of the panel. The stitching sits flat against the mesh so the rail cover stays neat along the crib side after repeated trips through the laundry.
The straps and hook closures
Hook and loop strips run the length of the cover to close the fold. Adjustable straps pull the fabric down against the slats to keep the panel aligned against the rail without sagging between posts.
The pocket on the outer face
A drop pocket sits on the outward-facing side of the panel. It holds small items like teethers and pacifiers outside the sleeping area, positioned within easy reach when standing beside the rail.

Standards, and what the law covers
Tested to ASTM F1917
The panels are tested to the ASTM standard for infant bedding and related accessories.
Air permeability under ASTM D737
The mesh is measured by the textile industry method for how readily air passes through a fabric.
Not a crib bumper under federal law
When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.
No recall of the mesh panels
The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.
What the guidance says, in full
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.
Fitting it, in order
- Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
- Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
- Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
- Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.
Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.
When to take it out
Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.
