Pale pink ground cloth with small owl motifs keeps the nursery bright and calm. We combine our Classic mesh liner panels with two soft cotton sheets so the crib is dressed in matching tones from the start. Both liner panels attach around the slats with hook and loop fasteners.

The lower panel edge

The bottom edge sits below the top of the mattress, held flat against the slats by the mattress weight. Pulling the fabric taut along the crib rail stops the mesh from sagging between the upright posts.

The fabric trim

Bound trim finishes every outer edge of the panel. The stitching locks the Classic weave in place along the top rail, keeping the line straight from one corner post to the next without raw mesh edges.

The Owl Fun print

Small pink owls and tree branches repeat across the white mesh panel, while the two sheets carry matching patterns. The design shows clearly up close and softens into a light wash of color from across the room.

Machine washing and care

Close the hook and loop fasteners before placing the panels in the washing machine so the fabric stays smooth. The mesh dries quickly on the line, ready to wrap back around the crib slats without pressing.

Standards, and what the law covers

Tested to ASTM F1917

The panels are tested to the ASTM standard for infant bedding and related accessories.

Air permeability under ASTM D737

The mesh is measured by the textile industry method for how readily air passes through a fabric.

Not a crib bumper under federal law

When Congress banned padded crib bumpers, the definition CPSC wrote does not include a non-padded mesh crib liner. Our panels sit outside that ban.

No recall of the mesh panels

The mesh liners have never been recalled. One product was, in 2013: a wearable blanket we stopped making that year.

What the guidance says, in full

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a bare crib: a firm flat mattress, a fitted sheet, and nothing else in it. That recommendation does not carve out mesh liners. Federal law and pediatric guidance say different things here, and we would rather you read both than hear only the half that suits us.

Fitting it, in order

  1. Face the side with the larger holes into the crib, so the finer surface sits outward.
  2. Run the panel along the inside of the rails and wrap the last slat at each end.
  3. Point the ties upward and fasten them on the outside of the frame, never inside.
  4. Set the bottom edge about an inch below the top of the mattress, then pull every tie snug.

Keep it tight against the crib side. Do not use it if it hangs loose or sags toward the mattress. Position the ties on the outside of the crib and pull them snug. Never put pillows or anything else in the crib alongside it. Never use it in a toddler bed or bassinet.

When to take it out

Take the panel out of the crib once your baby can pull up to standing against the crib side, which starts at around six months. An older baby can use it to climb.
